Dr. Jennifer Walden is one of the iconic figures in the plastic surgery industry. She has made a name for herself due to her astounding services and her compassion for her job. She is currently based in Westlake Hills, Austin, where she has her practice. Whatever she does, Walden puts her all into it. Perhaps, the reason the behind her success both in school and in her career life. In the year 2014, she was celebrated by Harper’s Bazaar as one of the top 24 plastic surgeons in the world.

 

Walden’s career began in Manhattan but she had to move back to Austin when she got pregnant with her twin boys. She decided that her boys would be better off being raised with the family love that she had the privilege of having as a kid. When she first moved to Austin, she feared that her services would be of no use to anyone in the area. Her hometown, Austin, is known to be reserved and as so she never thought that anyone would want or even accept the idea of her changing one’s body. She was however surprised to get her first client the very hour she landed at the airport. Since then word has been spreading and she is doing really good.

 

Before starting her state-of-the-art practice in Austin, she was based in Manhattan. She had started a practice with Sherrel Aston who had been her mentor during her fellowship term at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Sherrel had been very instrumental to the success of the practice. With her over 3 decades of experience in the field and a contact of global clients, she had bright such huge success to the practice. It was no doubt, Walden feared leaving to go solo. But life is all about taking risks.

 

When Jennifer  Walden talked to Texas Monthly, she said that her career was inspired by her love of arts and medicine. She decided to combine the two and join plastic surgery. Also, the ability to impact other people’s lives positively, was a huge inspiration.
