Robert Ivy a Hero in Architecture Industry

Robert Ivy, who is the CEO and EVP at the (AIA) the American Institute of Architects, in June 2018, will get the Noel Polk Lifetime Achievement Award from the renowned Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters commonly known as MIAL. The event will mark the beginning of a person from the architecture industry to be awarded the Polk Award. The Polk Award was primarily for the Mississippi patrons of art and the artists who work range from creating, performing to sustaining art. The amazing work they performed is what gained them the score of being awarded the Polk Award.

Robert Ivy was a lucky architect to appear on the list with other honored Mississippians such as Leontyne Price a singer, Morgan Freeman an actor, the late Walter Anderson an artist, Shelby Foote a writer and Eudora Welty a writer. According to the remarks of the President of MIAL Nancy LaForge, in Mississippi, Robert Ivy is the only architect who worked hard to make the architecture widely recognized, and he is worth the Noel Polk honor. Robert started to work in American Institute of Architects from the year 2011, here he has been a Chief Executive Officer of AIA.

At the same institute, Robert practiced architect as well as author and editor and the president of the institute Carl Elefante added that Robert Ivy is the rightful person to represent the architecture department. The career of Robert began before he joined the AIA. He worked in the firm known as McGraw-Hill and there he was the Editor-in-Chief of its Architectural Record. Robert was a great leader in McGraw, and through his management, in the Architectural journal, the Architectural Record was the most popular in the whole world. Because of this excellent work, Ivy earned a lot of awards, and National Magazine Award was among the prizes and more

Still, at the McGraw, Robert Ivy also guided the massive development of construction and design media that he established in China and the Middle East. Robert is the author of the Fay Jones that was printed out in 2001. The book talks about the American architect whose focus was on the Frank Lylod Wright. Since Robert became part of the AIA, its growth has increased at a high rate. Today it is registering its most substantial membership level since it was launched. The department of the Alpha Rho Chi also honored Ivy for his efficacy in showing the worth of design.
