The OSI’s Spain Food Solutions have added another high-capacity line of production. The production line will help the company to enhance the output of its chicken products. The plant that is located in Toledo, Spain just finished its improvements at the cost of 17 million euros in 2017. Before adding the new production line, the plant had 12 tons worth of chicken productions in its annual capacity before the improvements were made. Now that the improvements have been made, the yearly size will double. The improved production will also bring with it more jobs. The increase in chicken production will also lead to higher overall output which is of more benefit to the company.
According to the OSI Food Solutions executive, the company will be able to produce 45,000 tons of beef, pork, and chicken with the capacity that the new plant will bring. Moreover, the company was able to add 20 more jobs in addition to the other benefits that the company has received. The company had 140 employees before the addition of the production line. As of the moment, there are more 20 jobs, and one of them is that of managerial position. All these acquisitions taking place within the company are a directive of Sheldon Lavin, the OSI Industries Chief Executive officer. Since Sheldon Lavin joined the OSI Industries, his primary aim has been to enlarge the company to serve the ever-growing client population. The new plant addition to the Spain OSI Company expanded the working place by 22,600 square feet. This enlargement has led to the creation of a production hall. Moreover, the extra room has led to the development of new facilities such as refrigerated rooms for waste storage, supplies storage, nitrogen and hot water tanks, and service area for oils as well a social hall for employees.
