Sheldon Lavin Defying All Odds To Turning OSI Group Into The Best

In a world full of competition and filled with entrepreneurs who strive to bring in innovative ideas into the market but lack the insight of running businesses successfully and the patience to watch them grow into empires. Sheldon Lavin is the perfect epitome of what an inspiring entrepreneur should emulate. Lavin is OSI Group’s current sitting CEO and has been a partner in the company for more than four decades now.

Sheldon Lavin began his career journey in the investments, capital, and finance industry where he gained immense experience and skill to make the right investment decisions. This would come in handy in the next few years for him. In the 1970’s he was Otto & Sons’ investment consultant where he got the first-hand experience in managing the company’s funds. At around that time, Otto & Sons were in dire need of capital to carry out their demanding expansion plans. Sheldon Lavin played a critical role in ensuring that the firm acquired the much-needed funds to continue with the expansion operations.

By 1975, Sheldon Lavin had grown into one of the company’s most pivotal element when he took care of the international investment funds for overseas expansion. Lavin was made partner rebranding the company into OSI Group. Over the next decades, OSI Group grew into a globally recognized meat and food supplier with production facilities sprouting within and beyond the United States border.

Due to Sheldon’s remarkable management and leadership abilities, OSI Group has managed to break bad reputation norms in the food industry with the quality products, product diversification, and large capacities to heed to demand. He is also known for incorporating innovative ideas and environmentally sustainable strategies into OSI Group operations. For this reason, Sheldon has been recognized and won various awards including the Global Visionary Award by India’s Vision world Academy.

Sheldon also has a soft spot for charities where he actively participates in various philanthropic moves including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Jewish United Fund, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Inner-City Foundation of Chicago. At 81 years, Sheldon Lavin is still dedicated to growing OSI Group into the empire it intended to become.
